Barstow, CA is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is a major transportation hub for the Inland Empire, where several major highways—Interstate 15, Interstate 40, and California State Route 58—converge. Barstow hosts a large rail classification yard belonging to the BNSF Railway, and the Union Pacific Railroad also passes through the town using trackage rights on BNSF’s main line to Daggett, 10 miles (16 km) east, where it continues toward Salt Lake City while BNSF’s line heads to Chicago. Barstow is also home to Marine Corps Logistics Base Barstow.
